eVTOL Aircraft Solution

Right now, pure electric eVTOLs are hitting a fundamental bottleneck: battery energy density isn’t enough. Mainstream lithium batteries have an energy density of only about 300Wh/kg, roughly 1/40 of traditional aviation fuel, which limits typical range to just 50 to 100 kilometers. This makes it tough to support key use cases like intercity commuting or logistics delivery. At the same time, upping the battery capacity significantly adds to the aircraft’s weight, creating a vicious cycle of ‘shorter range makes you want more battery, heavier battery makes range even shorter.’ Load capacity is limited, charging infrastructure at takeoff and landing sites is lacking, and operating costs are high, all making commercialization of pure electric eVTOLs a tough slog.

Hybrid power, especially turbo-electric systems based on a turboshaft engine paired with a generator, is recognized as the most technically feasible route currently and in the near term. SINOBROOK’s self-developed high-speed generator can be directly matched with turboshaft and other aviation engines, efficiently converting turbine mechanical power into electrical power. By continuously generating electricity from fuel, the system effectively ‘recharges the aircraft in the air,’ extending eVTOL range from under 100 kilometers for pure electric models to 400–1000 kilometers, while significantly boosting payload capacity and maximum takeoff weight. On top of that, range-extended hybrids don’t rely on dense ground charging networks and can reuse existing fuel supply systems, greatly reducing infrastructure requirements. SINOBROOK’s high-speed generator has become the core piece of equipment for overcoming eVTOL’s ‘range anxiety’ and ‘payload bottleneck,’ providing solid power support for large-scale commercial use in the low-altitude economy.
